A recent study sheds new light on the existence of ancient walruses in Iceland. For the first time, it has been confirmed that a special Icelandic walrus population lived in Iceland for several thousand years, until 800–1200 AD.


The exhibition is made in collaboration with e.g. Bjarni F. Einarsson, archeologist, Bergsveinn Birgisson, Nordic scholar & Snæbjörn Pálsson, professor and geneticist.
